Company Visits
Companies can host various evening events for Industrial Engineering and Management students to present their operations and share career opportunities. Annually, Optiem ry also organizes two multi-day excursion trips—or company visit tours—across Finland, as well as single-evening visits to companies in the Oulu region.
Anniversary Balls
The Anniversary Ball is a traditional academic evening gala held every five years. In addition to excellent food and beverages, the evening is celebrated with traditional engineering student (Teekkari) songs, speeches, and other customary festivities. Companies can gain visibility at the gala through the event program, the songbook, or even by delivering a keynote speech. Optiem ry will celebrate its 35th anniversary in late 2026.
Advertising on the Guild’s Mailing List
Optiem ry maintains a mailing list that our students read on a daily basis. Utilizing this mailing list is the fastest way to reach our community of approximately 300 Industrial Engineering and Management students.
Advertising on Student Overalls
Every year, student overalls are ordered for the incoming Industrial Engineering and Management students. Students wear these overalls to numerous student events year-round, making them an excellent way for companies to boost their brand recognition among the student body.
Other Visibility Options
Companies can also effectively reach our students through various visibility packages. These packages can include exposure at the guild room, on the guild’s social media channels, in the guild magazine, at events, as well as on our website and mailing lists. The specific content of each visibility package is always negotiated and tailored individually with each company, carefully considering your specific interests and needs.
